Governor Newsom Orders Immediate Temporary Closure of Additional Indoor Operations

Beverly Hills, CA – As COVID-19 cases continue to rise across the state, Governor Gavin Newsom today ordered the temporary closure of indoor operations in the following sectors:

  • Gyms and Fitness Centers
  • Places of Worship
  • Indoor Protests
  • Offices for Non-Critical Infrastructure Sectors (as identified at www.covid19.ca.gov)
  • Personal Care Services (including nail salons, waxing studios, massage parlors, and tattoo parlors)
  • Hair Salons and Barbershops
  • Malls

Today’s order is in addition to indoor restrictions already in place at restaurants, wineries, movie theatres, zoos, museums, and cardrooms.  Patio dine-in, delivery and curbside pick-up is still permitted with County Health guidelines and safety protocols in place.  Bars must continue to remain closed.

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has issued an updated Health Order to follow these state directives.  These new regulations apply to businesses in the City of Beverly Hills that fall within these categories.

The detailed protocol lists may be found at the links below.  When available, additional updates will be posted at www.beverlyhills.org/coronavirus:
